A friend from the National Geographic merchandise store told us that a Thai restaurant in Vivocity that can beat the crap out of Thai Express. We then decided to spend our Sunday late afternoon at this Thai restaurant for our light dinner.

Yes, we are that crazy when it comes to yummylicious meals. Thai Accent is its name and trust me, Thai food has never tasted that good ever since I stepped foot into Singapore.

The interior of the restaurant gives out a cosy feeling. It makes us feel comfortable to dine in. And above all, it provides us with a wonderful view of the newly erected Resort World Sentosa.

On top of that, the vibrant colours of the decorations soothes the eyes as we browse through the entire restaurant.

Enough of the interior design, let’s showcase some of the food that the restaurant offers.

When being asked on the spiciness of the Tom Yum gong (Tom Yum prawn soup), both of us nonchalantly replied:”extra spicy”. Despite the warning from the waitress, I insisted on our request.

Little did I know, the “fire power” that was packed in this small bowl of soup was sufficient enough to pack a punch to my stomach. Fortunately, we managed to finish the entire bowl of Tom Yum gong at the end.

I’m a fan of Thai Green Curry, therefore, it is customary for me to order Green Curry Chicken whenever I visit a Thai restaurant.

One word to describe this dish – awesome. Both of us liked it very much after taking the first bite of the chicken. The final bill came up to SGD 15 per person. The price is almost the same as Thai Express but the taste that Thai Accent delivers is definitely way better than its orange counterpart.

Yesterday was a day full of walking and eating. Both of us went to celebrate our 8th month into our relationship. Therefore, we decided to do something special – to eat and enjoy the whole day with each other’s company like how we always do.

I like the location of this restaurant as it gives out the authentic Italian ambience without the lil’ guy holding his schlong schlort.

As usual, all Italian restaurants serve bread with vinegar and oil condiments as pre-starters.

I would prefer my bread being served warm instead of cold. But no biggies as I enjoyed the other condiments served with the bread.

We ordered Melon with Pama Ham as starters so that I could break my Pama Ham tasting virginity.

The melon was sweet and the ham was salty. Together, both their sweetness and saltiness fused together to create an orgasmic sensation in the mouth. You just couldn’t help yourself but to want more.

Then, came my main dish – Penne Alla Carbonara.

It tasted weird as they used scrambled eggs as their cream base. I would prefer something creamy into my mouth so that the sauce could run through my taste buds for a full bodied taste of delicious carbonara. Perhaps I should start cooking carbonara for myself instead.

Her main dish was Spaghetti Alla Dona Carmela.

The tomato paste tasted generic like it was cooked with Heinz tomato sauce.

Overall rating: 5+1/10

+1 for the orgasmic Pama Ham starters.

Brotzeit is definitely my favourite place for German beers. They have a wide range of German beer and they pull my all time favourite Paulaner from the draught machine.

Their beer price is considered reasonable especially if you dine in before 5pm.

The 0.3L pint cost me SGD 6.10 excluding tax.

Their main branch is located in Little India, but I prefer the service over here in Somerset 313. On top of that, they were having promotion for their signature fish curry.

To enjoy this dish fully, you have to eat it with Muthu’s very own white rice platter.

*You can refill your rice upon request at no extra charges.

The rice texture is not too soft nor too hard. It’s fluffiness is just too perfect to mix with the hot fish curry gravy and once you put it into your mouth, it’s just pure bliss.

We ordered our all time favourite Mutton Curry as side dish,

Honestly, I prefer their main branch’s mutton curry over this. The texture of the mutton from the main branch is much softer as compared to this.

We ordered Pepper Prawn as well to entitle ourselves to the 40% fish curry discount.

We didn’t really enjoy this dish as the taste was quite plain. However, we did enjoy the dining experience at Muthu’s Flavors.

Give the fish curry a try and I’m sure you’ll love it!

Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the e-Learning Week. Basically it’s like another recess to us. But the lab sessions screwed up my plans on going back. At least a nice buffet steamboat is on the way.

I hate semester two every year because the holidays kinda shorten the semester.

Just not long ago, we I had one week break for CNY holidays.

Then after another week of school, we had recess week.

It’s funny to see how I blog, it’s March already and yet I’m posting something about the New Year’s Eve celebration. Guess I needed a longer holiday than the current one week break.

Why Wala Wala on New Year’s Eve and why De Zien?

First of all, the train was so packed with foreigners that I nearly suffocated on the way to Wala Wala. Secondly, I didn’t want to be the “ah kua” bikini girl being groped by a bunch of banglas at Siloso Beach, Sentosa knowing that I’m a Kua as well but definitely not an “ah kua”. This is because I don’t ahhhhhhhhhhh… when I speak, period. Try talking to an “ah kua” and you will know what I’m trying to say.

During intermissions, we were too bored and decided to snap some photos to fill up our blog quotas beautify our blogs. Being singles(partially for me because she was away, ;P) for the night, we looked like a pair of gay couples with our gears hanging low on our necks. On top of that, we couldn’t resist ourselves from flashing consistently in such low light conditions.

After months of slacking and some considerations, I’ve decided to reactivate my blog. The moment I stopped blogging, I lost the motivation in taking photographs. Hence, I really hope that this blog will constantly push me to post photos and take good ones too!

Right before coming back to M’sia for the festive celebration, the folks back in NTU organized a CNY Reunion Dinner for the Malaysian students.

Things started off quite healthily with our very first Salad ‘yee sang’ of the year.

Last year this time, I was hosting the dinner and this year, I’m the audience enjoying my very first CNY celebration with a bunch of seniors.

I have completed almost half of my degree and I’ll be graduating soon. Time flies eh. xD

There were quite a few performances right after dinner and the one that fascinated me the most was the ‘Diabolo’ act.

On a lighter note, I have a doggie in my room back in NTU. Well, the doggie belongs to her but she decided to put it in my room because I love doggies. Man’s best friend, what can I say about that? *shrugs*
